Mount Gaines is a huge operation with a long history of owners, financial battles and politics that continue to today. Just search google and you will find scattered among the usual topo map stuff affidavits, resolutions, amendments and remediation’s.
We drove up to the mine as we had seen no gate on google earth but we were stopped dead in our tracks by a massive gate, fences with razor wire and probable care taker quarters so we took a few pictures from the road and called it good. The mine has an extensive underground workings as well as much surface workings seen from the road. If you know any details about this mine please comment below.
