USGS historic topo maps show dozens or maybe hundreds of mines around the town of Bodie. Particularly Silver Hill and Bodie Bluff. So much that satellite images of the hills east of town look like Swiss cheese. Though Bodie State Park does not offer gold mine tours (they do offer awesome mill tours) but the Bodie Foundation does. I have not done the “Mines, Mills, Rails & Ruins” tour they offer nor the two hour private tour so I don’t know how much “mine” you see, I believe they are driving tours. These tours are offered by advance reservation only so plan ahead.
