Martin Murphy Jr. Historical Park located in Sunnyvale is home to this 5 stamp Hendy Stamp Mill. The Joshua Hendy Iron Works company was well known for building quality stamp mills. The company moved from San Francisco to Sunnyvale after the 1906 earth quake.
This particular mill was manufactured by Hendy in 1918 and used by Fred Peterson at his gold mine in Pine Grove California. In 1986 the mill was bought from his grandson by the Iron Man Museum. It was restored in 1996 and placed in the park.
