Like many offroaders we had driven right past the Gold Standard Mine on previous trips in our rush up to the Brooklyn Mine. Just north of JTNP the mine can most easily be reached via the park by heading north on Brooklyn Mine Road and taking a right after the Gold Rose Mine aka Secret Camp. A more adventurous route is to head south from the OK Mine. This time we had time to stop at the Gold Standard. We drove halfway up and then walked the other half. Little is known about the mine and we adventured in only a short ways. Great little 4×4 destination. Please comment below if you know more.
