The Big Bell Mine (Death Valley) is located in the Chloride Cliffs between Chloride City and the Keane Wonder Mine. Most certainly named after the Big Bell in Australia. This mine as well as Keane are currently closed by the National Park Service due to chemicals, hazardous structures and unstable land. The Big Bell features tons of old equipment, cabins, tools, tanks, trucks and even an ore carrying tram. Ore cart tracks lead into the mines tunnel. The mine can be reached via a trail that leads out of Chloride City or from hiking up the canyon from the Keane Wonder mine. The hike from Keane is extremely precarious and not recommended.
Allegedly the Keane Wonder Mine is re-opened along with the Big Bell.
