Discovered in 1895 by Tom Vincent the Big Horn Mine was named after the sheep he was hunting. He sold the mine and it was worked for many years. The old stamp mill building still stands but I’m not sure if there are any stamps inside.

There are many tunnels around the area and most have been sealed but some are still accessible. Sadly the mine is visited frequently and the three mile uphill hike has not dissuaded vandals from tagging everything in sight including tunnel walls. There are dozens of photos and more on Yelp.
