This Southern California gold mine located in Joshua Tree National Park has been plugged with expanding foam then covered with dirt. But the original stamp mill exist in its original state and in good condition.

The hike is moderate and is a 4 mile trip around the loop. Interesting history, including a partner who was stealing half the gold, buried it, and came back years later to get it only to die near the mine and be buried near the road by his ex partner.
