The Gold Bug Park features an underground tour of the authentic hard rock mining shaft of “Gold Bug Mine”. The mine started in 1888 and now has a wooden floor and audio tours.
You can also tour the older “Priest Mine” which opened in 1850 and view the thousands of pick marks the miners left behind. Priest Mine Tours, Labor Day Weekend Only.
The giant 8 stamp mill at Gold Bug Park is supposedly in the style of mills made by Joshua Hendy Iron Works of Sunnyvale. The mill sets at its original location but has been housed by a mill style building now as part of the park.
The Gold Bug Park also has a museum, Gift Shop, Blacksmith’s shop and panning
