The Columbia is one of three mines frequented in the Shoshone Mines group. Along with the War Eagle and the Noonday these mines are popular among underground enthusiast. The Shoshone Mines Group consist of 11 mines in all around Noonday Camp.

Sadly, very little remains at the surface due to scrappers, tweakers and thieves. The Shoshone Mines were primarily mined for copper and lead with very limited gold production. USGS Topo and satellite imagery reveals multiple tunnels, shafts and massive tailings piles.

Due to its popularity there are tons of photos and videos out there.
